Kawatatec’s work activities fall into six categories: machining, assembly, design, production management, sales, and general affairs.
Our users are manufacturers who use machine tools to process metal, and our products are also manufactured using machine tools. For this reason, all of our activities are based on production engineering technology. Furthermore, in order to promote digitization, we are actively recruiting people with backgrounds in information technology and electrical and electronic technology, and we are working together to pursue more effective and innovative solutions by making use of their expertise and technology.
For one to several years after joining the company, you will be assigned to the Development Team of the General Affairs Department. Here, you will be involved in projects to innovate manufacturing processes and recruitment activities using digital technology. You will also learn about new systems and software, compare and consider existing methods, and build optimal systems.
Rather than just doing simple tasks or providing support for senior employees, you can set project goals from your first year and work towards achieving them. You can learn the necessary skills and knowledge through internal training, and by taking the initiative, you can grow and feel a sense of achievement. In addition, Development Team in the General Affairs Department is also a department that accepts internship students, enabling you to work with students who have new perspectives every year and progress with your work while being stimulated.
In recent years, the evolution of information technology has been remarkable, with new tools and software appearing one after another. The power of our young employees, who are able to learn and utilize these new tools with flexibility, is the driving force behind our company's evolution. Our experienced employees are always there to provide guidance, so you can take on challenges with confidence even in difficult situations. Our young employees are given the opportunity to lead and are responsible for playing an important role in shaping the future of our company.

We actively accept overseas students for internships of one month or more. Recently, we have had participants from Asia and Africa, who work on projects with our employees and gain experience in solving company issues. Although the preparation and management of internships is not easy, it is a very valuable opportunity for us to gain many insights through receiving ideas and stimulation from different perspectives.
You most likely do not encounter machine tools, 3D CAD/CAM, or IoT devices in your daily life, and as such, almost all of our employees learned their jobs from scratch, with zero knowledge and zero experience, so please do not worry.

You are free to wear what you like when commuting to work. Generally, we wear work uniforms or office uniforms, but there is no problem if you need extra layers of clothing to suit the temperature of the office. Occasionally, members of staff wear suits or other formal clothes when visiting customers.
