The 46 series flange standard type is a 4 jaw independent lathe chuck with a chuck size of 12“ to 32” (φ300 to φ810). It is a general chuck made by Kawatatec that has been used for a long time with a cast iron body.

The 46 Series short taper Direct Mount Type is a 4 jaw independent lathe chuck that can be used with chuck sizes from 12“ to 24” (φ300 to φ600). It can be directly mounted on the end of the lathe spindle.

The 44 series is a large independent lathe chuck that can be used with chuck sizes of over 28” (Φ700). It is a 4 jaw independent lathe chuck suitable for machining on large lathes.

The Independent Chuck Steel Type is a steel body chuck with a chuck size of 18“ to 42” (457mm to 1067mm). We have products suitable for middle-cutting and heavy-cutting applications, which require high gripping power.
· Steel body (code number 42~: for middle-cutting, 41~: for heavy-cutting)
· Chuck sizes 18” to 42 (ø457 to ø1067)
· Direct mounting (JIS/ASA) short taper type A
· High gripping power, ideal for heavy-duty cutting.
· The body is made of forged steel for high strength, and the jaws are made of SCM415 and hardened and polished.
· The jaws are a two-piece type, and the key step system makes it easy to move the jaws a long way.
· The jaw section has been lengthened to prevent the entry of chips and other foreign matter, and to allow for oiling. (41SERIES only)
· The T-slot end has a bolt to prevent it from protruding.

The IDV/IDK series are independent chucks with covers that have a chuck size of 18“ to 71” (ø450 to ø1800). They are equipped with a cover to prevent chips from entering, and are suitable for use on vertical lathes.

The TI series is a thin-type independent chuck that can be used with chuck sizes from 12“ to 39” (φ300 to φ1000). It can be used with a variety of machines, such as angle plates (equerre) and machining center tables, as well as 5-axis machining center tables.

・The cover on the top makes it difficult for chips to enter the inside.
・Lightweight and thin design has minimal impact on the maximum loading capacity and height of the machine.

The FBK/FBJ series are boring mill jaws that can accommodate chuck sizes from 32“ to 80” (ø800 to ø2000). The cast iron body makes them suitable for general cutting.

・Boring mill jaws are available in hard solid jaw and two-piece types.
・The top surface of the chuck is T-slot or tapped.

The 46DJ series is a master jaw for the 4 jaw independent lathe chuck 46 series or large independent lathe chucks. By replacing the hard solid jaw with this master jaw (op), it is possible to use a soft jaw.

・By replacing the hard solid jaw with this master jaw (optional), it allows the use of a soft jaw.
